The Shedd Institute announces its 3rd major project with the extraordinary Siri Vik: Where Or When: The Life & Lyrics of Lorenz Hart. Hart was a master of “society verse”, that style of lyric which dominated the golden age of musical comedy: witty, light-hearted, sophisticated, erudite, and full of word-play, literary allusions, and sardonic commentary on the modern condition. None of the classic Songbook lyricists did this better than Hart. And there is no one better than Vik to re-introduce his songs to us in the full range of their mood, technique and spirit.

We need your help today! Slowly but surely we've been been raising funds to replace our awful, aging steam heat system with modern heat pumps so that our music students aren't too cold or too hot to take their lessons. But now EWEB is shutting down its steam heat service and we can no longer wait!
